The Outlander Brim in Sand Dune (Natural Straw)

The band comes off.

A wide-brim hat in Ecuadorian toquilla straw or Australian wool felt, with a channel in the crown that holds the band. Pull one out, slide another in, and you have a different hat. Twelve bands so far — woven tapes, braided cords, plain leather.

The $69 includes whichever band you pick, so a first hat and band together cost $69, not $89.

What you get for $69

A hat blocked by hand in grade-8 toquilla palm straw, 100% merino wool felt, or brushed cotton canvas, depending on the color you pick. The brim runs 8.5cm and the crown holds a teardrop crease. Rated UPF 50+, which matters more than it sounds like if you wear it all afternoon.

Two sizes, S/M at 56–58cm and L/XL at 59–61cm. Both ship with foam inserts that sit behind the sweatband if you land between them. One band is included, and the rest are $20 whenever you want another.
